Have you ever watched a TV show and wished you knew how to write a TV script? No? Then you are watching average material. To live life, you need to have watched a TV show that inspires you to write a TV show because of how compelling the story was. That is what you need. This is what life is made of. But there are times the story line is a wreck that you wish you could write so you could do a better job. Give the viewers a decent storyline.
Those I am okay with. What does not sit right with me is dragging me along for 7 years to give me a mediocre ending. I know how I wanted the story to end but I am also a girl who will not want to get that ending because where’s the fun in that? So listed below are some of those culprits. One is in this list because I watched the last episode and I did not get that that was the finale. I was expecting two more episodes but that is just my attachment issues speaking.
Pretty Little Liars
If you are a PLL fan you know what I am talking about. I never watched seasons one and two but I religiously watched all the other seasons. So I technically wasted 5 years of my life. Ok not really because I enjoyed every bit of it until they exposed AD. We waited two seasons to catch this person and in less than 30 minutes in what seemed like a ‘happening upon’ arrest we caught her. Why? Why? The AD reveal storyline should have gone on for one more episode or two. But as they say, I know nothing and should just take a back seat.
Have you ever felt like punching the television? This guy was a badass. The baddest of baddasses there is. Even the whole BAU team from Criminal Minds has never found him. I am assuming they should have known he existed…right? And then how does the show end? With him being a lumberjack with a cabin in the woods. I have never thought of an alternate ending but that, that ending was not it. The badassery needed to continue somehow. You feel me?
Rizzoli and Isles
This was one of my favourite TV shows and I watched the finale with so much glee because a vacay was happening. This is how it happened for me. I never used to read any online material for Rizzoli and Isles but I knew this was supposed to be the last season. It was a TV show with some healthy 15-16 episodes each season but the last one had 13. See where I get confused? And how did it end? The main characters Jane and Maura booked a vacation together and were to leave the following day. If you tell me something is happening tomorrow, I better see the something happening. I was ready with a sunhat and sun dress, ready to tag along to the vacation I thought would be in a tropical island, partaking of cocktails and soaking in a 24 degree sun. Life was supposed to be perfect but that did not happen. I am still furious.
How I met your mother
This is a culprit that met my expectations. They brought out the ‘mother’ and I did not feel like she fit well into the story. She was a nice person though, don’t get me wrong but I did not picture Ted and her together. Since season one, I thought Ted and Robin would be the best match. Remember that time the writers had had too much of boiled arrow root roots mixed with some fermented poisonous fruit and they thought that Robin and Barney could become a couple? We forgive them. So now after sitting down and watching every single episode from season one, they end the series by putting Ted and Robin together. At least surprise me, it is good to have the heart beat at a faster rate than normal every so often.
