  1. The Big Bang Theory

Season 9 will be gracing our screens today. I have watched this series for more than 6 years. I was late in starting it but when I did I never looked back. For those with no idea what this is let me be your guide. It is a comedy and the main cast comprises scientists and an engineer. It is not all nerdy so you will understand the humour. There are a lot of star wars references for the star wars lovers. It is really worth it.

  1. Scorpion

This is another nerdy television show on my list. I am not nerdy at all but enjoy this series. The main cast is made up of geniuses with very high IQs. You know how intelligent people end up doing awkward things? They do that in this series too. It is very engaging and has some believable lies here and there but is very interesting.

  1. Castle

There was a time my classmate found me watching this show and he asked me what it is I am watching and I said castle. He looked at me in disbelief like why would you watch something about princes and princesses? This is a detective series not a princess series. The main actor us called Richard castle played by Nathan Fillion and detective Kate Beckett played by Stana Katic. Richard is a crime novelist and helps around with the catching of bad guys as he always thinks without the box. He also comes in handy when they need something to be done by a civilian before the bureaucracy of the police is done with.

  1. The Mysteries of Laura

The main actress of this series found the fountain of youth. She hasn’t aged a day since 1998. Her name is Laura Diamond played by the lovely Debra Messing of Will and Grace Fame. We are coming back with season 2 so you can easily catch up. It is a dramedy (drama and comedy) of sorts. I think a police drama with lots of comedy will be the appropriate genre. There are no rules that cannot be broken and she is my fashion icon as she dresses like a carpenter.

  1. Empire

Cookie darling will be back on our screens on Wednesday. Be ready. If you haven’t watched this yet kindly lift that heavy rock you’ve been living under and move away. This is the truth. Taraji P Henson is the truth. She takes on the role so well you become jealous. It concentrates on the hip hop society under the fictional empire recording label. It will make you cry, laugh, feel angry, jump off the sofa in disbelief and many other things. It is coming back with season 2. You can binge watch between today and tomorrow as it only has 12 episodes.

  1. Modern Family

Coming back for season 7 is our beloved dysfunctional family. The things they utter and the things they see to be normal make for a very hilarious sitcom.

  1. Grey’s Anatomy

This is the best medical drama in the planet by Shonda Rhimes. Yes I am about to start fangirling in a jiffy. Shonda Rhimes is the absolute truth and she makes for a very competent show runner. Her shows are the absolute best. The previous season was a little draggy but I hope season 12 will come back with a bang. Yes, I have spent more than 10 years watching this. What is life?

  1. Scandal

I think I can sum this up in two words. Olivia Pope.

  1. How to Get Away with Murder

I was left with a lot of suspense during the finale and have a lot of questions like who killed Rebecca? What did Frank owe Tom that was so heavy so as to kill Lila? (Sorry for the spoiler). Will this series be the cause of my heart attack one day? Hope not. I have a lot more questions that I don’t remember at the moment. It is a very good legal drama if you can work with lots of flashbacks. Also get this, Viola Davis won an Emmy for best actress in a drama series last week. That should be enough reason. The first season had 12 episodes so get watching if you haven’t watched it yet.

  1. Criminal Minds

This is the reason I do not trust anyone anywhere. It is a series about serial killers. Some of them gruesome some of them just plain weird. Some of the episodes are curved from real life serial killers and those are the days I sleep with a knife in hand. The BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) of the FBI works on this cases. They are sometimes caught up in the mess and are kidnapped and tortured or shot. It is a nice thriller that shows you how psychopaths and sociopaths think and generally who to avoid, for example my stray cat.
